When we set about designing this watch we knew we had to see permission from the Corporation that made the racing colors famous. So after a few months of negotiation, they eventually signed off on this design and are fully aware of how we are celebrating the historic racing they have supported for years. In fact, the CEO of this Corporation has bought one for himself! The round case and dials all came from designs we'd seen from the 1950s, the white from the base color of the cars. The stainless steel case a nod to historic bumpers found on classics such as the Ford GT, Aston Martins, and AC Cobras. A tribute to the World's most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Held in France in June every year this event tests even the hardiest racing cars and racers to the limit. Using highly accurate Japanese movements, Racing Chrono Blue is the perfect tribute to the epic racing livery. We painstakingly hand make this watch to be as robust for track driving as it is for everyday use.
